CLEANING THE EQUIPMENT
It is recommended to clean the respirator after every use in a dedicated area (away from where equipment is stored). If necessary, staff undertaking cleaning should wear PPE including a respirator. If disinfection, sterilisation or decontamination is required, refer to these sections for more information.
The Power Unit and Mask should be cleaned separately. See below for steps to clean the equipment.
We recommend using a new disinfectant wipe in steps 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7
Remove the protective cover.
Remove and clean the neck support and the outside of the Power Unit.
Clean the harness.
Clean the inside of the mask.
Clean the outside of the mask.
Remove the exhalation valve cover.
Clean the exhalation valve and cover.
Re-assemble the Power Unit and check the battery level, unless otherwise directed by your facility.
